Blue Sea Restaurant
A seafood restaurant in Afytos, Halkidiki that no one could find on Google. In 4 months, it reached the #1 position, tripled website visits and doubled online reservations.
Objective
Blue Sea Restaurant is a family-owned seafood restaurant in Afytos, Halkidiki, with over 15 years in operation. Fresh seafood, traditional Greek flavors and a sea view for both Greek and international visitors.
The problem was simple: despite the excellent food, no one could find it on Google. The website appeared nowhere in search results, and their Google profile had been outdated for years.
The Situation When We Started
In March 2025 we took on the project. What we found was a business with an excellent product that simply wasn't visible online:
The competition was intense: over 40 restaurants in Afytos and Kassandra were competing for the same tourists. We had to move fast, before the season started in June.
What We Did
We created a 4-month plan with the goal of having everything ready before the season opened. We worked in three stages:
Month 1-2: Building the Foundation
- Completely refreshed the Google profile with new photos (32 total), correct hours and complete information.
- Ensured the exact same contact details appeared everywhere online (TripAdvisor, Booking, directories).
- Improved 8 website pages and created new pages for the menu and reservations.
- Made the website fast and mobile-friendly. The loading speed went from 42 to 89.
Month 2-3: Content and Reviews
- Wrote 4 articles about seafood, gastronomy and Afytos that answer what tourists are searching for.
- Created QR codes on every table linking directly to Google Reviews. Satisfied customers left a review with a single scan.
- Organized a professional dish photoshoot. 18 dishes were photographed and uploaded everywhere.
Month 3-4: Optimization and Growth
- Weekly Google posts with new dishes, offers and seasonal updates.
- We monitored ranking progress weekly and made continuous micro-improvements.
- Created English pages for international tourists searching for "seafood restaurant" in Halkidiki.
Results After 4 Months
From the 2nd month the website was appearing on Google's first page. By the 4th month, the #1 position was permanent. And the reservations showed it:
